A frustrating day today - a lacklustre opening 15 minutes saw the Kilmarnock boys down by four tries - with little appetite for the game on show - some frank words seemed to waken the boys up (it was either that or the sour oranges) and an improved second third saw the boys waken up and play some passing rugby although the tackles were still largely missing. The final third saw the team finally begin to play the way we know they can, just too little to late - why they collectively switched off today is a mystery. Every team has an off day, today was certainly ours.
When the boys did start playing they showed some good rugby, just the individual tackles were not made today for some reason, every member of the team needs to match up and make those individual tackles and not rely on others - Max Neil was man of the match today for his continual harrying, organising and tackling.
