A large turn out from Kilmarnock U13s were met with the news that Paisley had arrived with insufficient numbers so the game would be a development game. To even the teams up 5 Kilmarnock players turned out for Paisley, swapping over every 15 minutes meaning 15 Kilmarnock players in total turned out for Paisley overall, the boys showing great sportsmanship.
With the game now being a development game Kilmarnock were encouraged to show some flair and try things out, the stand out try was a burst by Bailey Speir down the right hand wing, ball recycled, carried on by Josh Provan and then some fast hands to get the ball out to Callum Riddell on the left hand wing to beat two men to score - a great team score.
With the Kilmarnock team comfortably ahead in the first third the combined Paisley / Kilmarnock team came back in to it in the second third but the Kilmarnock boys showed great composure to come back with some tries of their own, again through great interplay and this dampened down the Paisley spirits - the final third of the game was again won by Kilmarnock, with the try scorers for the combined Paisley/Kilmarnock team featuring some Kilmarnock boys - sportsmanship at its best.
