Kilmarnock U13s 19 Drumpellier 11

After a run of away games the U13s were back at home, and with a big support from parents put on a show.
A tight opening period saw Kilmarnock have all the possession but not managing to get any scores on the board, and then, against the run of play Drumpellier scored two tries.

The Kilmarnock boys didn't let their heads go down though, and kept their discipline, putting the support play and offloads from the practice ground to good effect, and managing to score some lovely tries through Corey McLean and Josh Provan.

The referee was being very strict (but fair) with the rules, the Kilmarnock boys guilty of coming in to the rucks from the side, and of being offside repeatedly cost them a lot of possession but their tackling and defensive play kept Drumpellier quiet, one further score to them but another three tries to Kilmarnock with the final score being 19-11.

18 boys out today, all the subs made impact when they came on, good to see great team spirit.

Drumpellier were a big, physical team but the boys matched up and made their individual tackles, and if any were missed then David Hendrie was generally there to mop up, a great display from our Nr 9 today.
