Birkmyre U13's v Kilmarnock U13's

U13s were soundly beaten today, but by a good Birkmyre team. The Kilmarnock boys kept their heads, played well (tackles/rucking/shape and passing all good), they were just up against a better team - Birkmyre were aggressive (but fair) in the rucks, but more importantly knew when to offload in the tackle to their supporting runners, and there was always an offload option - the Kilmarnock boys have to learn its a team game and they can not crash through and score individual tries - that aside all Kilmarnock boys played well today, all put in a tough shift, just a shame it was not rewarded by some more points on the board! Thanks to the players who made the long journey, and to their parents and supporters who came along to cheer them on. Man of the match today was Tyler who put in some strong tackles and made lots of great carries.
