Young Killie team ‘rain’ in the scores on a wet and wild day
Cumnock arrived at Bellsland today short of players, so a Development game was played, with Kilmarnock lending Cumnock 12 different players over 3x 15 minute games, allowing for a 13 a-side game to be played.
Despite the wet and wild weather, Kilmarnock we’re on fire right from the start, playing some scintillating rugby, full of direct running, some fine tackling and pressuring the Cumnock defence at every opportunity.
The U13 team have been growing in strength, confidence and stature over the last few weeks, and although we had to play this as a development game, I am absolutely delighted for the boys and loved hearing the happy chatter coming from the changing room afterwards.
Big thank you to Cumnock for coming through today and credit to them for never giving up, we wish them well for the remainder of the season.
