Have beaten Hamilton/Strathaven twice already this season, Kilmarnock went through to Hamilton knowing they would be in for a tough game from a side seeking revenge.
Hamilton were by far the hungrier side from the start, and played with a passion and desire that was sadly lacking today in the young Killie team.
The referee also seemed to have missed the memo that Killieween was last night. saving his own horror performance for today. Always difficult for the man in the middle, but todays was self inflicted.
Credit where its due though, Hamilton were deserved winners and we wish them well for their remaining games and thank them for their hospitality.
We now learn from today, accept and own what went wrong and move on to our next game.
Todays scorers were Andrew Bruce, David Hendrie and Shaun Hillis, with Thomas Dunlop converting all three.
Man of match was Murray Imrie.
