Kilmarnock travelled through to Bishopton in the glorious sunshine, for their second league game v Renfrew Raiders (Paisley/Bishopton/Garnock).
Unfortunately Raiders were only able to field 11 players, with Luke Lithgow joining them in the first half, and scoring a fine try for them below the posts, to enable a 12 v 12 game.
Kilmarnock started slowly, with Raiders running in two try’s, influenced by their impressive scrum half - however Kilmarnock soon switched on, shook off their cobwebs and started to throw the ball around and were always in control of the game.
After stretching to a 21-70 lead in the second half, the game was called early with 20 mins to go.
Todays try scorers were Thomas Dunlop (x2), David Hendrie (x2), Daniel Christie (x2), Frazer Sands, Logan Hendrie, Aidan McQuisten and Bailey Speir. Thomas slotted 9/9 conversions and Bailey 1/1.
Thanks to Raiders for their hospitality.
