KRFC U15's welcomed Loch Lomond's to Bellsland on a cold but very beautiful day. A great day for a game of rugby as long as you had your hot water bottle and thermals on! brrr
Our Forwards performance teetered on the edge of exhaustion; our forwards are strong boys but have issues with mobility. But, when they did get there, they made their presence felt continuing to put pressure on the opposition in key areas resulting in a TRY from Callum Tank Commander McGill.
The opposition were onto Mr McGill and started to target him. But only fueled his determination resulting in a "a wee bit of argy-bargy,"
Our Forwards have room for improvement on fitness thought!!! We are strong but we aren't fast!
Captain Luke O'Callaghan suffered a broken nose after a hand off sadly our Captain had to come off. His future games are unknown for now. Fingers crossed he match fit soon!!
U15's backs were agile and enthusiastic on Sunday, keen to score TRY's.. if we can only get the ball along the line to them. Two excellent TRY's from Frozone and Jonny Downey. To quote Mr McLaren (again.. can you tell he makes me chuckle!) "He’s as quick as a trout up a burn." said in a Hawick accent!!
Robbie Sanderson had an excellent game on Sunday in the key position as Scrum Half, his first full game that resulted in Man of The Match! Well done wee man, keep it up!
