Away bonus point win

A good bonus point win on the road narrowed the gap at the top West Reserve league 3 to 3 points. Killie still have a game in hand and with Strathaven not having a game next week they have an outstanding chance to top the league.
Killie lost the toss and played with the wind and slope advantage for the first 40 minutes out scoring Hillhead by five tries to one.
Fraser Corrance opened the scoring on 10minutes after a fine break scoring to the right of the posts Graham McCue added the extras 7 points to 0 after 11 minutes. Killie continue to keep the ball and it was no surprize when the ever green Phil Moon ghosted over in the corner to extend the lead, conversion missed from wide out on the right 12 points to 0 after 26 minutes. Killie kept the pressure up and on 32 minutes Fraser Corrance scored again again McCue converted to increase the lead 19-0 after 33 minutes. Hillhead hit back with a try of their own after a mistake in the Killie backline the conversion was good 19 points to 7. With the clock running down it was the turn of Callum Smith to add his name to the try list again McCue converted 26 - 7 after 38 minutes. Killie secured the kick off and moved the ball into the midfield a well timed pass opened up the Hills defence and Corrance flipped the ball back inside to the supporting John Brown who galloped over to complete the 1st half scoring Killie leading by 31 points to 7 at the break.
Hillhead with the wind at their backs tried to pin Killie into their own 22 with every opportunity, the Killie defence held strong for most of the 2nd half. Hills did eventually get a consolation score to narrow the gap mid way through the 2nd half but Killie defended well and ran out worthy winners.
