Whitecraigs u14 15 v 54 Kilmarnock U14

Great performance from the team on a beautiful winter afternoon.

The boys started at 100 miles an hour and ran in 3 quick tries. Then we seemed to take the foot off the gas. Did the boys maybe think the game was going to be easy ? Whitecraigs did really well to come back into the game - but the team stuck to the task keeping them on the backfoot with some great defending on the line. At least three times I can remember Whitecraigs spent several passages of play inside our 5 meter line but never scored. Really pleasing to see.

We scored a variety of tries - some from good back play getting the ball wide, and a couple from drives to the line. But the most pleasing thing was seeing no fewer that 5 different scorers - Finlay, Jason, Jonathan, Callum and Laughlan. Superb teamwork.

On too West Of Scotland next week. We are playing their second 15 but we still expect it to be a tough game.
