Kilmarnock RFC seeks to appoint a committed Development Officer to work with them to drive the aims of our local rugby development plan and in turn contribute to the SRU’s targets for growing the game.
You will have experience of both sports development & coaching within a rugby environment, and a full, valid driving licence.
You will deliver on behalf of the club and its partners a thriving development structure within the local Schools of Rugby that feed into Kilmarnock Rugby Football Club. Working in partnership with East Ayrshire Council’s Active Schools, you will lead on the schools to club programme. You will report to a management group consisting of representatives from each of the partner’s.

Key Accountabilities

Ensure Kilmarnock maintain their T3 Conference status.
Deliver high quality coaching sessions to club and associated cluster schools and community groups, including the delivery of the School of Rugby programme at Grange and Loudoun Academies.
Ensure Secondary schools play in the Ayrshire T4 Schools Conference.
Co-ordinate the implementation of the club’s “agreed playing philosophy” throughout all teams. Ensure this links to the Scottish Blue Print.
Oversee a Long-Term Player Development programme throughout the Club, appropriate to age and stage.
Work with clubs CCC and CPO to ensure all youth players are being developed in a safe, learning and supportive environment.
Must have a UKCC L2
